\nHi folks!<\/p>\n
We regret to inform you that, after extensive internal discussions, we have decided to take Star Wars: The Old Republic in a bold new direction.
\nBeginning later this year, the game will be fully rebranded as Star Trek: The Final FrontierTM, marking the first-ever inter franchise transition in MMO history. This change reflects our long term vision of exploring strange new worlds, seeking out new life and new civilizations, and boldly going where no MMORPG has gone before.<\/p>\n
But don’t worry, your existing characters will be safely beamed up into the new game. To ensure compatibility with Star Trek lore, some species adjustments will be made during transport. Most notably:<\/p>\n
– Humans will remain Humans
\n– Sith Purebloods will become Klingons
\n– Mirialans will become Vulcans
\n– Cyborgs will be assimilated into the Borg Collective
\n– Chiss will become Romulans<\/p>\n
All changes will occur automatically during the transition process. Side effects may include pointed ears, forehead ridges, or an unexpected desire to quote Starfleet regulations.
\nIn addition, all ships will also be replaced with Federation approved starships. Your personal starship will be automatically converted into the closest equivalent class within Starfleet regulations.
\nWe understand this is a major shift, but we are confident that this new direction will allow us to live long and prosper together. We appreciate your patience as we finalize the transition, and we ask that you refrain from attempting to use the Force on any Starfleet officers during the process. It will not work. We checked.
