If you’re looking to use a level 70 token or have noticed you have one ready to go lately, it may be time to wait patiently for now before going ahead. A notice appeared on the SWTOR dev tracker today about a possible glitch making an infinite loading screen on any characters made this way.<\/p>\n

As a returning player, you may notice that when you go to create a new character you may also have the option to make a Level 70 character in addition to making a level 1 character. All players who subscribed within the last few years receive one free high-level token. These tokens allow you to skip and auto-complete your class story and jump immediately in to the two newer expansion storylines. Most players recommend saving this token until you know exactly what you want to do with it, especially since this token will cut you out from being able to play and experience your class\u2019s storyline. This token is most useful if you want a high-level character but you don\u2019t want to go through the trouble and time of leveling it.<\/p>\n

However, a possible bug has been frustrating attempts to use them this week, explained by Jackie<\/a> over on the forums:<\/p>\n

Hi everyone,<\/p>\n

We’re seeing reports of players who are using a level 70 Character Token for the first time not being able to progress through the loading screen following Character Creation. We are currently investigating the cause of this issue. For now, players who are experiencing this issue can use the following workaround:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Delete the character that was initially created with the Character Token<\/li>\n
  • The token will be refunded and will be available on the Character Create screen<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    I will update this thread with more info when I get it.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

    That being said, hold off for now and keep that forum thread handy if you’re looking to boost anything in the near future.<\/p>\n
