There are a very small number of unobtrusive headgears that overrides hoods, hiding the hood as if the armor set never had one at all. I&#8217;ve put together a list of helmets that will hide your hood but also won&#8217;t cover your eyes, mouth or hair, making them unobtrusive circlets or headbands.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-44271\" src=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/hides-hood.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"563\" srcset=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/hides-hood.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/swtorista.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/hides-hood-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/swtorista.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/hides-hood-768x432.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Sadly there&#8217;s no hood toggle in SWTOR, but these helmets will help you approximate that effect and hide your hood!<\/p>\n<h2>Zakuulan Security&#8217;s Headband<\/h2>\n<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/armor\/zakuulan-security\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/hides-hood-43691.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/h2>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/armor\/zakuulan-security\">Zakuulan Security&#8217;s Armor Set<\/a> is one of the most well-known hood-hiders, and is part of a usually fairly inexpensive Cartel Market set &#8211; so check the GTN to pick it up.<\/p>\n<h2>Pragmatic Master&#8217;s Helmet<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/armor\/pragmatic-master\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/hides-hood-43692.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/armor\/pragmatic-master\">Pragmatic Master Armor Set<\/a> is a fan-favorite for hood-hiding helmets &#8211; it&#8217;s one of the smallest and thinnest hood-hiders, but the set itself is well-liked so it will be more on the expensive side on the GTN or on the Cartel Market.<\/p>\n<h2>Omenbringer&#8217;s Headgear<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/armor\/omenbringer\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/hides-hood-43693.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/armor\/omenbringer\">Omenbringer Armor Set<\/a> is a very, very inexpensive armor set, and its helmet the Omenbringer&#8217;s Headgear only costs 2,500 Credits from the Adaptive Vendor and is legacy-bound! The <a href=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/armor\/tarisian-consular\">Tarisian Consular Armor Set<\/a> has the same look \/ effect, but is a lot more expensive.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/armor\/consular\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/hides-hood-43695.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/armor\/consular\">Consular Armor Set<\/a> is the same look but flipped colors, with a wooden circle in the center and silver on the band &#8211; but it&#8217;s harder to find, as you need to find a Synthweaver with the uncommon Consular&#8217;s Headgear crafting recipe (in the &#8216;Light&#8217; archived section of their crafting), and can only be worn by Consulars.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/armor\/lashaa-force-expert-republic\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/hides-hood-43694.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/armor\/lashaa-force-expert-republic\">Lashaa Force Expert&#8217;s \/ Shimmersilk Force Expert&#8217;s Armor Set<\/a> is also the same shape as the very cheap Omenbringer, but has a different color, and is all made of metal. If you like this color better, all Synthweavers can craft it at synthweaving level 110, and it looks the same Imperial and Republic side. I really like this circlet in general, even outside of just for hiding the hood.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Screenshot-34327-odd.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Tythonian Consular&#8217;s Headgear<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/armor\/tythonian-consular\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/hides-hood-43696.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/armor\/tythonian-consular\">Tythonian Consular Armor Set<\/a> is a really great lesser-known hide-hood helmet the Tythonian Consular&#8217;s Headgear &#8211; it is expensive though, at 200,000 credits, and you will need a Republic character to go buy it from Tython, but it is legacy-bound once you pick it up.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/armor\/tribal-hermit\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/hides-hood-43697.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/armor\/tribal-hermit\">Tribal Hermit Armor Set<\/a> has the same shape, with a different color scheme &#8211; but it&#8217;s a lot harder to get, with the Tribal Hermit&#8217;s Headgear costing 3,000 Tech Fragments + 1,000,000 Credits. There is also a small chance you can find it on the GTN.<\/p>\n<h2>Nanosilk Force Expert&#8217;s Headgear<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/armor\/nanosilk-force-expert-republic\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/hides-hood-43698.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/armor\/nanosilk-force-expert-republic\">Nanosilk Force Expert&#8217;s Armor Set<\/a> is a crafted set all Synthweavers can craft at synthweaving level 370 &#8211; but you need to be level 46 to wear it, and only works on Republic-side.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/armor\/septsilk-force-expert-republic\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/hides-hood-43699.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/armor\/septsilk-force-expert-republic\">Septsilk Force Expert&#8217;s Armor Set<\/a> has a helmet, the Septsilk Force Expert&#8217;s Headgear, which is also crafted the same way but is a different color. Synthweavers can craft it at synthweaving level 260 &#8211; but you need to be level 32 to wear it, and it also only works on Republic-side.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/armor\/alderaanian-knight\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/hides-hood-43700.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/armor\/alderaanian-knight\">Alderaanian Knight Armor Set<\/a> is the same but with different colors in bright blue and white, but costs a lot more at 200,000 credits! This one however does not change the way it looks on Imperial-side.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/armor\/fitted-mantellian-banded\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/hides-hood-43702.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/armor\/fitted-mantellian-banded\">Fitted Mantellian Banded Armor Set<\/a> has the Fitted Mantellian Banded Helmet, which you&#8217;ll likely find on the GTN, and also won&#8217;t change the way it looks Imperial-side and is legacy-bound.<\/p>\n<h2>Reinforced Chanlon Headgear<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/armor\/reinforced-chanlon-republic\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/hides-hood-43704.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/armor\/reinforced-chanlon-republic\">Reinforced Chanlon Armor Set<\/a> has a crafted helmet the Reinforced Chanlon Headgear that Synthweavers can craft at synthweaving level 220 if they have found the schematic. This level 31 version is the Republic version, and will change looks when swapped to Imperial side, but can be crafted on either side to start.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/armor\/ablative-plasteel-republic\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/hides-hood-43703.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/armor\/ablative-plasteel-republic\">Ablative Plasteel Armor Set<\/a> also has a helmet called the Ablative Plasteel Headgear which is also a set Synthweavers can craft at synthweaving level 220 if they have found the schematic. This level 23 version is the Republic version, and will change looks when swapped to Imperial side, but can be crafted on either side to start.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/armor\/ancient-ardent-blades-ancient-battlemasters-republic\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/hides-hood-43705.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/armor\/ancient-ardent-blades-ancient-battlemasters-republic\">Ancient Ardent Blade&#8217;s Armor Set<\/a> is the same shape but a different color with a brown headband, and is an uncommon helmet you might be able to find on the GTN and will require level 47 to wear. <a href=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/armor\/ancient-ardent-blades-ancient-battlemasters-republic\">Ancient Battlemaster&#8217;s<\/a> will be the same helmet as well if you can find it. This is a Republic version, it changes looks on Imperial side.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/armor\/devout-overseer\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/hides-hood-43706.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/armor\/devout-overseer\">Devout Overseer Armor Set<\/a> is a different color but very expensive compared to the others t 3,000 Tech Fragments + 1,000,000 Credits, but the Devout Overseer&#8217;s Headgear is a guaranteed item you can pick up without relying on the GTN or other players, and won&#8217;t change looks when you send it over to Imperial-side.<\/p>\n<h2>Laminoid Battle Headgear<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/armor\/laminoid-battle-republic\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/hides-hood-43707.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re ok with a little more head obstruction, Armormechs can craft the <a href=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/armor\/laminoid-battle-republic\">Laminoid Battle Armor Set<\/a>\u00a0at\u00a0<b>armormech level 140<\/b> or higher if they&#8217;ve found the schematic. You can likely also find it on the GTN.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/armor\/rd-02b-combat-td-02b-combat-republic\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/armor\/preview\/rd-02b-combat---td-02b-combat-republic-female-4312-preview.png\" alt=\"RD-02B Combat \/ TD-02B Combat (Republic) Armor Set\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you want a darker color, the <a href=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/armor\/rd-02b-combat-td-02b-combat-republic\">RD-02B Combat \/ TD-02B Combat (Republic) Armor Set<\/a> is harder to find on the GTN but does show up occasionally.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Love your armor set in SWTOR, but want to hide your hood?
