If you fail to slip by unnoticed or see your team has attacked the enemies – always pull back from these routes and go back to help them defeat them! These may save time if everyone does them, but nothing makes a flashpoint slower than running ahead and not helping others to get out of combat again.

Solo Stealth: If you are playing Legacy of the Rakata alone and are on a Stealth character, or with a full stealth group, you can skip many of the enemies. There’s a couple areas where they will pop out of nowhere, but otherwise have fun sneaking!

Skip #1

Things start off pretty simple on Rakata Prime – there’s a big ol’ rock in the way of the initial path and if you aren’t caring about bonus objectives and ready to skip you can simply go left through the neutral flappy enemies instead of fighting the jungle stalkers. On the other side of the rock, one will be in your way. Just walk through the puddle across from him and you’ll get around and into the wrecked ship fine.

Skip #2

Once you get into the ship wreckage, there will be one unmissable rakata group inside, as well as another just on the other end. Past those two though, the skipping starts again by jumping on this rock to your right and going behind the trees. If you’re on story mode, a combat support droid may mess this one up by walking on the path.

Skip #3

Past the lazy river rakata, you’ll approach a nice scenic beach to run down. There’s going to be this huge jet-engine-like ship part and a bunch of stalkers on the coast. You can get around this by running behind the ship wreckage. You’ll briefly be in the “turn back or die” exhaustion zone, but as you round the object it’ll clear up.

Skip #4 – Community Skip

On the way up from the beach you’ll see tons players hop up onto this shelf of foliage and ignore the next two groups of rakata on the path. Just stick between the cliff and the trees and you’ll skip two packs on your way to the little Tribal Village ambush up ahead. That’s not skippable, sorry.

Skip #5 – Advanced

After the first boss, the Rancor/Rakata duo, there will be a group of rakata guarding the pathway up to the rest of the flashpoint ahead. You can skip them by hopping up the cliff on the right and going over their heads. The jumps require a bit of finesse, though, and the combat support droid on story mode may betray you (this is what happened upon jumping the path again in reverse to take the screenshot, hence the abscence of enemies in the image. The skip DOES work, but depending on jumping skill you may go faster just fighting.)

Skip #6 – Uber Advanced Do Not Attempt

Once you’ve gotten to the section of the flashpoint that demands destroying four Rakata Weapon Caches before moving on, you can technically skip the pack outside of the ruined building by jumping back onto the temple stone, onto the cliff behind the building, and then leaping from the cliff wall over the building and into the gold-level enemies guarding the cache. Then, jump onto the crumbled walls and off the side to get back out without fighting the pack on the floor. There’s a 9/10 chance you fall down off the cliff in the back and get stuck and have to leave, and a 100% chance a random group member will fight the guys on the floor anyway. This saves basically no time for what you have to do to learn it. Named for its once-predominant species whose Infinite Empire ruled for millennia over hundreds of worlds, the planet is now a dangerous tropical wasteland, ravaged by weapons of mass destruction and overrun with deadly beasts and savage Rakata.

While few traces of the advanced Rakatan civilization exist on the planet today, it is undoubtedly a treasure trove of lost knowledge and technologies–and not just their own. A nullifying field once employed by the Rakata commonly disrupted the navigational systems of orbiting vessels, causing them to crash into the planet. As a result, Rakata Prime has become something of a starship graveyard.

Temple of the Ancients

No one knows for certain how long the Temple of the Ancients has stood, which is hardly a surprise. Much of the history of Rakata Prime–and that of its one-time conquerors who placed the galaxy into servitude–has remained undiscovered. What is known of the temple is its relatively recent history.

A tribe of Rakata known as the Elders had charged themselves with guarding the temple from other tribes, even though their species no longer had the affinity with the Force required to enter their ancestors’ hallowed repository. The Elders held that the temple’s secrets must be too important to fall into less civilized hands than theirs. It was this tribe that allowed the Jedi Revan to enter the temple and learn how to destroy the corrupted Rakata superweapon known as the Star Forge. It’s unclear what has happened to the tribe in the three hundred years since then as the Temple of the Ancients is no longer under their protection.

Infinite Army

Since its destruction, many have sought to own pieces of the fabled Star Forge–an automated Rakata shipyard capable of infinite manufacturing. A Selkath experimenting with cybernetic applications using Rakatan technology was one of those looking to harness the Star Forge’s immeasurable power. With the shipyard’s self-replicating properties, the Selkath theorized implementation of its parts could allow his test subjects to survive the grafting process, and to achieve virtual immortality. When the Order of Revan made a piece of the Star Forge available to him, the Selkath was able to prove his theories and the Infinite Army was born.

This is not the first time the notion of an Infinite Army was conceived. A tormented Jedi looking to destroy the Sith Emperor once appropriated a long-abandoned Rakata foundry built into an asteroid. However, his reputed plan to use the foundry to build an “infinite army” of extermination droids was ultimately prevented.

Rakata Tribes

In the face of near-extinction and the mysterious loss of Force sensitivity among most of their kind, the Rakata retreated to their homeworld, where they focused their cruel aggressions on one another, descending further into ruin. When the dust of global war settled, all that remained of the galactic tyrants was a collection of barbaric and ruthless Rakata tribes that has dominated the planet for more than twenty thousand years.

Some tribes reside in isolation, hidden deep within the jungle islands of Rakata Prime. Others are more aggressive, seeking to conquer and assimilate as many other tribes as possible, uniting the world under their rulership–an echo of their technologically advanced ancestors’ attempt at galactic supremacy. Eventually, the dominating tribe’s control becomes stretched too thin and the sub-tribes revolt, breaking free until the cycle inevitably repeats.

Legacy of the Rakata is a Flashpoint in Star Wars: The Old Republic that you can run alone, with friends, or with other random players through the groupfinder.
