<\/p>\nAssault on Tython is a Flashpoint in Star Wars: The Old Republic that you can run alone, with friends, or with other random players through the groupfinder.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
For the Sith Empire, no Republic target has been more tempting than Tython. Ever since reports of the Republic\u2019s rediscovery of the Jedi Order\u2019s birthplace, the Emperor had yearned to discover the planet\u2019s location. Once Jedi Grand Master Satele Shan relocated the Jedi Temple from Coruscant to Tython, finding Tython became not only a crusade but an imperative. After a failed attempt by Darth Angral to destroy Tython, and with open war returning to the galaxy, the planet\u2019s defenses were strengthened considerably. Countless infiltration attempts by agents of the Empire have failed to provide significant insight into the inner workings of the Republic\u2019s security within the Tython system. But where Imperial Intelligence failed, Darth Arkous has apparently succeeded, and now Tython lays open to incursion.<\/em><\/p>\n Assault on Tython is a Flashpoint meant to be played as part of the Prelude to Shadow of Revan storyline. You can encounter it early on naturally at the beginning of the Shadow of Revan expansion, replay it alone in Story mode, or play it outside of the story with a group in Story, Veteran or Master mode.<\/p>\n Use the tabs above for instructions for how to enter the flashpoint in the story line, and how to enter it in Solo (Story) mode, Veteran mode, and Master mode by faction.<\/p>\n Story – Republic Instructions<\/strong><\/p>\n Requirements:<\/strong> To play the Assault on Tython Flashpoint in the story, and receive all the special cutscenes related to the Flashpoint in the story, you will need to be level 53+ and on the correct step of the Forged Alliances \/ Prelude: Shadow of Revan storyline (Forged Alliances: Part I). <\/strong>If you are below this level, or not on the correct quest step, you can not play the story quest for this Flashpoint. *** BUG?<\/strong><\/span> At the moment, as of Update 7.7.1 to start the Prelude: Shadow of Revan, you must have first completed your Class Story, the Ilum Prelude, and the Rise of the Hutt Cartel expansion. Before that, you just needed to be the right level. It is unclear if this is a permanent change or not. Use the ERAS window from the menu to start the previous steps.<\/em><\/p>\n Timeline:<\/strong> In the story, this Flashpoint takes place specifically as part of the Shadow of Revan expansion, in the section called the Prelude, which is technically before the expansion. Republic side, this is the second Flashpoint of the Prelude, after running Korriban Incursion and then returning to Colonel Darok.<\/p>\n Bring a Friend:<\/strong> If you want to bring a friend along for this Flashpoint in Story Mode to do the full story line, you easily can.<\/p>\n If they have not done the Assault on Tython \/ Shadow of Revan Prelude \/ Forged Alliances storyline,<\/strong> they can join you in a group and you can follow the exact same steps together as long as they are level 53+.<\/p>\n If they have already run the storyline,<\/strong> they’ll be able to join you in the cutscenes after<\/em> talking to the first droid, by walking in the door for the Colonel Daroks quest. Then after you finish that cutscene with them watching, you’ll be able to enter the Flashpoint, but your friend won’t have any quests so they can’t walk in behind you… tell them to go talk to the nearby F3-T2 droid and pick up the [Start Story Mode] quest and then they will be able to enter the Flashpoint with you.<\/p>\n They can also use the Solo tab in the Activity Finder<\/strong> to quickly join you once you are already inside the Flashpoint as long as they are level 53+.<\/p>\n Directions to the Republic Story Quest for Assault on Tython:<\/strong> This is the second Flashpoint of the Prelude: Shadow of Revan, after running Korriban Incursion and then returning to Colonel Darok. If you have not started the Shadow of Revan Prelude quests \/ the Forged Alliances quest, here is how to start the Prelude: Shadow of Revan quest.<\/p>\n Step 1<\/strong> – Speak to the Prelude to Shadow of Revan questgiver droid named T3-G2, located near the eastern elevator of the Republic Fleet, with a purple triangle quest marker over its head.<\/p>\n Step 2<\/strong> – You will have started the Shadow of Revan: Prelude quest, and this droid will lead you to Colonel Darok<\/strong> for an explanation of what is going on in the story through the quest Complete “Forged Alliances: Part I”. To get to him, you will need to talk the Outbound Mission Hangar elevator located on the far east elevator of the Republic Fleet. The elevator is very close to T3-G2.<\/p>\n Step 3<\/strong> – Follow the quest markers to speak to Colonel Darok in the green door –\u00a0 don’t worry about the other Flashpoint questgivers yet.<\/p>\n Speak to Colonel Darok – this is also the first time you will meet Theron Shan.<\/p>\n Step 4<\/strong> – Head out outside and in the south go to the entrance for Korriban Incursion and run inside to start the Flashpoint as part of “Forged Alliances: Part I”.<\/p>\n Step 5<\/strong> – After you complete Korriban Incursion, then return to Colonel Darok nearby, and complete a short story cutscene.<\/p>\n Step 6 –<\/strong> Head out outside and in the south go to the entrance for Assault on Tython and run inside to start the Flashpoint as the second step of “Forged Alliances: Part I”.<\/p>\n If you play in Story Mode, you will also get a Combat Support Droid to help you.<\/p>\n If you lose him, you can re-summon him by left-clicking the blue symbol beside the Assault on Tython quest.<\/p>\n If you can’t see that icon, you can also right-click the item in the Mission Items tab of your inventory.<\/p>\n Is the Activate Combat support Droid missing from both your quest tracker and your inventory?<\/strong> If you also had a different story mode Flashpoint in your quest tracker, and dropped while playing your current Flashpoint, it can sometimes accidentally delete the droid from both your abandoned Flashpoint and the one you are currently on. You would need to leave the Flashpoint, abandon the [STORY] quest in your quest log, pick it back up again, then start the Flashpoint over again. If you are partway through, you may choose instead to just complete the Flashpoint without the droid by your side helping, if you don’t want to reset it.<\/em><\/p>\n The quest Forged Alliances: Part I will reward you with two special rewards once you have completed both Flashpoints – 1 Recovered Relic<\/strong> which you can use to buy Flashpoint rewards (see Rewards section), and a Republic Assault HK Customization.<\/strong><\/p>\n Story Progress:<\/strong> [STORY] Assault on Tython alone will not progress your storyline – it is simply the repeatable solo version. To work on the overarching story, you also need to be on the quest Forged Alliances: Part I<\/strong>\u00a0on the step Complete Flashpoint: Assault on Tython<\/em> and then run the [STORY] Flashpoint: Assault on Tython<\/strong> quest.<\/p>\n Lost the quest?<\/strong> If you lost the Prelude: Shadow of Revan \/ Forge Alliances<\/b>\u00a0quest, head back to the T3-G2 Droid<\/strong> you started at to re-pick up the quest. Keep in mind this story-based introductory quest Colonel Darok is one-time-per-character. This will take you right into the Flashpoint!<\/p>\n Bring a Friend:<\/strong> You are allowed to bring friends along for this Flashpoint, you do not have to do it alone even though it is considered soloable.
