(July 8 &#8211; August 18, 2025)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The nightlife event is here! Sometimes known as the casino event in SWTOR, this event has some big changes for 2025, with this year&#8217;s event running <strong>July 8 &#8211; August 18, 2025<\/strong>. The most important thing to keep in mind while playing this event is that <em>you do not need to buy tokens<\/em> &#8211; you will get lots just for playing the game, especially from Flashpoints and Operations!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Update:<\/strong> The developers took the game down for a short time and fix a nasty bug related to tokens being deleted and set to zero. Your tokens should be restored if you lost them, and it seems safe to play the nightlife event! If you have tokens spread acrsoss multiple characters, you may need to log in to them one by before they get added to your legacy-wide pool of tokens \/ chips.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the great additions for this year include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>10 new item rewards!<\/li>\n<li>All Casino Chips \/tokens\u00a0 are now Legacy-wide currency (not split between characters!)<\/li>\n<li>Drop Rates for Emperor\u2019s Casino Chip has been increased in Master Flashpoints, Veteran Operations, and Master Operations!<\/li>\n<li>You can not lose on Emperor\u2019s Grace and Emperor\u2019s Grace Max Bet Machines.<\/li>\n<li>Lucky and Good Karma buffs now last ten minutes &#8211; no rushing needed!<\/li>\n<li>New achievements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What is the Nar Shaddaa Nightlife event?<\/h2>\n<p>The Nar Shaddaa Nightlife event is a limited time event in Star Wars: The Old Republic where you can head to Nar Shaddaa and gamble your credits away for a chance to win some unique prizes during this once-yearly event set in the summer. In short, put in tokens, get prizes! You can either purchase tokens with credits, or earn them while playing.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/token_nar_slots.png\" \/> <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/token_nar_high_roller-1.png\" \/> <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/token_nar_high_roller.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To start the event, you can interact with the floating terminal in the center ring of the Republic or Imperial fleet which will give you some free gambling chips and send you towards the event on Nar Shaddaa. All normal chips are now capped at 1,000,000 and all Max Bet chips are capped at 100,000.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Drop Rates for Emperor\u2019s Casino Chip has been increased in Master Flashpoints, Veteran Operations, and Master Operations!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>You can not lose on Emperor\u2019s Grace and Emperor\u2019s Grace Max Bet Machines. <\/strong><em>[[Previously the advice was: You can now lose on the Emperor&#8217;s Grace slot machine (before you would always win a prize or your chip back). Good Karma has always been 10.]]<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Only removed by the timer running out or from a successful Jackpot!<em>\u00a0 [[I think this is due to a silly set of circumstance where You can get a <strong>GURANTEED GOOD KARMA BUFF<\/strong> by choosing to <strong>KILL or CAPTURE<\/strong> the Red Twi&#8217;leks crew in the Counterfeit Tokens: Mek-Sha Quest\u00a0 &#8211; but unfortunately this buff disappeared if you leave the planet &#8211; and there wasn&#8217;t an Emperor&#8217;s Grace machine on Mek-Sha. Before, also the advice was: You can get the Good Karma buff from the purple Kingpin&#8217;s Bounty machines, it gives you an improved chance of winning at the Kingpin&#8217;s Bounty slots (purple ones) or Emperor&#8217;s Grace slots (Hutt one). It lasts ten (10) minutes, or until a Kingpin&#8217;s Bounty win, or until an Emperor&#8217;s Grace win, death,or departing the area. So you want to watch for it, and if you get it, you likely don&#8217;t want to waste it on the Kingpin&#8217;s purple slot machines. Note that a &#8220;win&#8221; may include lesser prizes you don&#8217;t want, BUT, it will not disappear if you win a Golden Certificate! &#8212; You can get the Feeling Lucky buff from the green Smuggler&#8217;s Luck machines, it gives you an improved chance of winning at the Kingpin&#8217;s Bounty slots (purple ones) or Emperor&#8217;s Grace slots (Hutt one). It lasts two (only 2! hurry!) minutes, or until a Kingpin&#8217;s Bounty win, or until an Emperor&#8217;s Grace win, death or departing the area. Note that a &#8220;win&#8221; may include lesser prizes you don&#8217;t want, BUT, it will not disappear if you win a Golden Certificate!]]<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Jackpots on Smuggler\u2019s Luck do not remove Lucky or Good Karma.<\/li>\n<li>The effect cannot be reapplied until the timer runs out or it is removed by a Jackpot, so if you lose it you\u2019ll need to get it again.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Winning Chips:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Like past iterations you can get your Chip back from the machine instead of winning.\n<ul>\n<li>This no longer counts as a win.<\/li>\n<li>It does not play the win visual effects or grant achievement progress<\/li>\n<li>All machines have a chance of giving your Chip back now.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>It is possible to get the Chips from the next tier machine<\/li>\n<li>It is possible to get the Max Bet Chip for the current tier machine<\/li>\n<li>Max Bet machines can give Chips for the next tier Max Bet machine.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>New Achievements have been added for playing on all machines.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<h2>New Achievements<\/h2>\n<p>While the developers did not give us a list of new achievements, these may be the achievements being added:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Reproducible Error<\/strong> &#8211; Blew up a Max Bet Smuggler&#8217;s Luck or Max Bet Kingpin&#8217;s Bounty slot machine&#8230; 10 times!? (hidden, not verified)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Going Supernova<\/strong> Won the Supernova Helmet from an Emperor&#8217;s Grace slot machine.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bountiful Bounty<\/strong> &#8211; Played Kingpin&#8217;s Bounty slot machines 1000 times.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Your Grace<\/strong> &#8211; Played Emperor&#8217;s Grace slot machines 1000 times.<\/li>\n<li><strong>I Smuggle My Own
