SWTOR Dark vs Light Preparation Tips

The new event requires you to complete all the objectives on new characters created after June 28th… so there’s not a lot of preparation you can do. But here’s a few tips that might help if you want to complete them quickly!

If you want to do the earlier tiers…

You will need to level two characters, one from level 1 to 65 and doing all the storylines and up to KOTFE Chapter 16, and a second character on the opposite faction up to level 65.

• Decide what you want your character(s) to look like early and screenshot the sliders. That way when June 28th rolls around you can start levelling right away.
• Get together an outfit for them and put it in your legacy bank.
• Get a +41 crystal for your new character.
• Put some experience boosts in your legacy bank for your new characters.
• Get a speeder and “[Improved Speeder Piloting I]”. That way you can use your speeder at level 1 and move faster.
• Buy the “Legacy of Travel” from your legacy panel (Global Unlocks, Other) and Rocket Boost if you haven’t yet to speed up travel time
• Put your gear from your main character into legacy gear. That way when you hit level 65 your character can have a handy set of gear even if it is not optimized so you can do the Eternal Championship and go through the story battles faster.
• Put your PvP gear into legacy gear to make getting Valor 5 and five warzones easier.
• Get a bunch of credits. That way you can send them to your new character for anything they need.

If you want to do the Legendary tier…

It’s a lot of work! You have to do a ton of stuff including levelling 8 characters, levelling all crafting skills and doing all HM flashpoints. Guide

• Gather lots of crafting materials so you can get crafting earlier.
• Buy a cartel market companion. That way they can follow you around early in the game and you can send any companions you get out crafting.
• Get ahold of some rakghoul vaccines for when the event rolls around.
• Make sure you have HK-51. After you’ve unlocked him the first time you can unlock him for other characters for 1,000,000 credits.
